Appalachian Headwaters is a non-profit organization based in Greenbrier County, West Virginia focused on environmental education and ecological restoration. Our programs promote a healthy environment and a strong economy in our region.

Appalachian Beekeeping Collective

The Appalachian Beekeeping Collective trains and supports partner beekeepers in natural beekeeping. ABC teaches honey bee ecology and also raises awareness of environmental issues affecting honey bees.

Wood Thrush Park focuses on education and outreach, conservation, and community science to help people in our region understand and protect native pollinators and pollinator habitats.

Appalachian Headwaters works to restore productive native forests and water quality on former mountaintop removal mines and other large-scale surface mine sites in our region.

Our Native Plant Program is new nursery and education initiative from Appalachian Headwaters. Our Nursery's goal is to connect Appalachian communities with access to the beautiful native plants that make our region one of the most biodiverse in North America!
