The goal of the Appalachian Headwaters College Scholarship Program is to support college access for local high schoolers with an interest in environmental stewardship, regardless of career interest. Scholarships are available to first-generation students in Greenbrier County and Summers County each year through the Greenbrier Valley Community Foundation. Applications are due through their form by March 15 each year.
Appalachian Headwaters also considers scholarship renewals for prior recipients, while funds allow. Renewal candidates must submit a transcript, provide a college reference and participate in an interview with Headwaters to learn from them about their college experience. Renewal applications are due by June 1 through the Community Foundation portal.
