Christmas Bird Count with Appalachian Headwaters

The Audubon Christmas Bird Count (CBC) is a long-running winter community science project that tracks bird populations to maintain conservation datasets and you can contribute!

This year Greenbrier County falls into the Sunday, December 20th time slot. We will meet at Wood Thrush Park (334 Richland Lane, Lewisburg). From here we will break into groups depending on the number of volunteers, and walk various parts of the property looking for and counting birds to record data for the CBC.

This event will require walking, on sometimes uphill terrain. Please dress for the weather, and bring binoculars if you have them! Some binoculars will be available to borrow. Coffee and/or tea will be provided.

This event is open to all experience levels, beginners are welcome!
