Understanding Native Pollinators

The Appalachian Pollinator Center used community science and environmental education to help people understand and protect native pollinators and their habitats. All of our work is based on ecological principles and has the goal of elucidating the connections among plants, humans and pollinators.

Appalachian Headwaters also works to restore damaged Appalachian ecosystems. The Appalachian Pollinator Center is a natural extension of this work. Healthy, diverse pollinator populations are critical to the ecological health of our communities and the stability of our economy.
