Our Application Process
To attend Waldo Day Camp, the camper must be 8-12 years of age and have their own transportation daily to the park.
The priority deadline for applications is May 5th. Participants may be accepted after that date if space allows.
Once a child is accepted to Waldo Day Camp, that camper’s family should turn in registration packets and signed camper agreements to secure the camper’s spot.
Costs
Waldo Day Camp believes in access to camp! That’s why we use a sliding scale based on family income to determine fees for each camper. Waldo Day Camp is a nonprofit camp, and even families at the top of the sliding scale pay much less than actual cost per camper. Most of Waldo Day Camp’s costs are covered by outside funding, through grants and donations.
For day campers attending the for the full SEVEN WEEK SESSION:
JUL 1 – AUG 16
COST PER WEEK:
Households earning more than $140,000 =$300/week
Households earning an annual income of $90,000 and $140,000 = $150/week
Households earning an annual income between $60,000 and $90,000 = $100/week
Households earning an annual income between $30,000 and $60,000 = $40/week
Households earning an annual income less than $30,000 = $15/week
We encourage campers to attend for all seven weeks, and campers who apply for longer periods will get priority in registration. Additionally, campers who stay for all seven weeks will get the seventh week for no cost.
We do not want the cost of camp to keep any child from attending Waldo Day Camp, particularly families with more than one camper. We are able provide financial assistance when necessary. If you would like to discuss financial assistance, please contact Erica.
Campers will be responsible for bringing their own lunch.
