Where is Waldo Day Camp located?
Waldo Day Camp is located at Wood Thrush Park, 6 miles west of downtown Lewisburg.
I’ve applied for my camper. Why haven’t I heard back yet?
We process applications on a rolling basis. As soon as we know we have a space for your child, we will reach back out to you to begin the registration process. We do our best to accommodate every child.
After registration, we will supply additional information about preparing for day camp.
What are the day camp hours?
Our day camps run from 9 AM to 4 PM each day. We do offer the option of an early dropoff (starting at 8 AM) in the registration form.
How much does Waldo Day Camp cost?
Fees for each three-day session of Waldo Day Camp are determined on a sliding scale based on household income. Waldo Day Camp is a nonprofit camp, and even families at the top of the sliding scale pay much less than actual cost per camper. Most of Camp Waldo’s costs are covered by outside funding through grants and donations.
Our day camp registration fees per session for 2025 are as follows –
For our THREE-DAY camps:
- Households earning an annual income of $140,000 and above = $180/session
- Households earning an annual income between $90,000 and $140,000 = $130/session
- Households earning an annual income between $60,000 and $90,000 = $80/session
- Households earning an annual income between $35,000 and $60,000 = $30/session
- Households earning an annual income less than $35,000 = FREE
For our FULL WEEK camp:
- Households earning an annual income of $140,000 and above = $300/session
- Households earning an annual income between $90,000 and $140,000 = $150/session
- Households earning an annual income between $60,000 and $90,000 = $100/session
- Households earning an annual income between $35,000 and $60,000 = $40/session
- Households earning an annual income less than $35,000 = FREE
Fees are paid during registration, after we process your camper’s application.
We do not want the cost of camp to keep any child from attending Waldo Day Camp, particularly families with more than one camper attending camp. We are able provide financial assistance when necessary. If you have any questions, please contact Kevin Johnson at kjohnson@appheadwaters.org.
Do we need to pack a lunch?
Yes. Campers are responsible for bringing their own lunch. We do serve a light snack during day camp.
May my camper bring their phone to camp?
We do not allow campers to possess cell phones or any other similar electronic devices during the camp day. We think of camp as a time of technological rest as campers enjoy the camp community and the great outdoors.
Our lead staff has a camp cell phone. The number will be provided after registration.
